Polyepoxysuccinic Acid (PESA)

Polyepoxysuccinic Acid (PESA)

Molecular Formula: HO(C4H2O5M2)nH
Molecular weight: 400-1500

Properties
Polyepoxysuccinic acid (PESA) is a phosphor and nitrogen free, environmentally friendly and multi-component scale and corrosion inhibitor. It has good scale inhibition and dispersion functions for calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, calcium fluoride and silica scale in water, and is more effective than the commonly used organophosphorus inhibitors. When mixed with phosphonate, polyepoxysuccinic acid has a good synergistic effect. It also has some corrosion inhibition properties.

Polyepoxysuccinic acid has a good biodegradation property, and it is widely used in industry, especially for water cooling systems under high alkaline, high hardness and high pH conditions. The water cooling systems can be operated under high cycles of concentration. Polyepoxysuccinic acid is compatible with chlorine and other water treatment chemicals.

Applications
(1) PESA can be used in oilfield water injection, crude oil dehydration, boiler water treatment and other fields.
(2) PESA can be used in the circulating water cooling systems of steel, petrochemical, power, pharmaceutical and other industries.
(3) PESA is especially suitable for boiler water treatment, circulating cooling water treatment, seawater desalination, and membrane separation, under high alkaline, high hardness, high pH and high cycles of concentration conditions.
(4) PESA can be used in detergent industry.

Packaging & Storage
Normally PESA is packed in plastic barrel, 25kg or 250kg per barrel, or according to customers' needs. It can be stored for ten months in a cool and dry place.

Note
As PESA is alkaline, avoid contacting it with eyes, skin or clothing. If it is splashed on your body, you should rinse immediately with plenty of water.
