Polyaluminum Ferric Chloride (PAFC)
Properties
Polyaluminum ferric chloride (PAFC) is an inorganic polymer. The liquid form is reddish-brown and the solid form is a reddish-brown powder or flake. Polyaluminum ferric chloride(PAFC) integrates the complex polymerization state of iron based on polyaluminum chloride, increases the molecular structure and improves the electric neutralization and bridging adsorption and sedimentation features. Polyaluminum ferric chloride (PAFC) combines the advantages of aluminum and ferric flocculants for a variety of temperature of raw water, making it an ideal agent to deal with raw water with more serious organic pollution, or raw water with low temperature. Therefore, it is widely used in drinking water, industrial water and industrial wastewater treatment.
Specification
| Liquid | Solid | |
|---|---|---|
| Alumina (%) | ≥9.0 | ≥26.0 |
| Ferric Oxide (%) | 1.0 - 2.0 | 3.0 - 5.0 |
| Basicity (%) | 50.0 - 90.0 | 50.0 - 90.0 |
| pH (1% Aqueous Solution) | 3.5 - 5.0 | 3.5 - 5.0 |
| Insoluble Substance (%) | ≤0.5 | ≤1.0 |
Usage
(1) Liquid products can be added directly or made into 5% - 50% of the aqueous solution; solid products can be made into 2% - 20% of the aqueous solution.
(2) For the drinking water, the liquid dosage is generally 5 - 30g/m3, and the solid dosage is 1 - 15g/m3. For the sewage and industrial wastewater, the liquid dosage is generally 20 - 100g/m3, and the solid dosage is 10 - 50g/m3. The specific dosage is based on the COD, pH, SS and other indicators of water penetration through the beaker experiments and production tests.
Packaging & Storage
The liquid products are packed in polyethylene plastic barrel and the solid products are packed in 25kg braided bag lined with plastic bag.
Polyaluminum ferric chloride (PAFC) is corrosive. Therefore, it cannot be stockpiled with other chemicals. It should be sealed and stored in a ventilated and dry place but is not affected by moisture, with liquid product shelf life of 6 months, solid product shelf life of 12 months.
