Poly Ferric Sulfate (PFS)
Properties
Poly ferric sulfate is a new high efficiency inorganic polymer flocculant. The liquid form is red-brown and viscous while the solid form is a light yellow powder. The solid product has strong hygroscopicity. Poly ferric sulfate has strong flocculation, stable chemical nature, and high settling velocity. It is applicable over a wide range of pH values, making it widely used in drinking water, industrial water, industrial wastewater, and urban sewage purification treatment.
Specification
| Liquid | Solid | |
|---|---|---|
| Total Iron Mass (%) | ≥11.5 | ≥21.0 |
| Basicity (%) | 9.0 - 14.0 | 9.0 - 14.0 |
| pH (1% Aqueous Solution) | 2.0 - 3.0 | 2.0 - 3.0 |
| Insoluble Substance (%) | ≤0.1 | ≤0.2 |
Usage
(1) Liquid products can be added directly or made into 10% -30% of the aqueous solution; solid products can be made into 5% -20% of the aqueous solution. When used, it needs to be made into relative concentration aqueous solution according to quantity of water, raw water quality, water turbidity, method of adding agent and water treatment technology and processing methods. The concentration of the preparation should not be less than 5%, and storage time should not be too long. It is best used up within 24 hours.
(2) For the drinking water, the liquid dosage is generally 5 - 30g/m3, and the solid dosage is 1 - 15g/m3. For the sewage and industrial wastewater, the liquid dosage is generally 20 - 100g/m3, and the solid dosage is 10 - 50g/m3. The specific dosage needs to be decided based on the COD, pH, SS and other indicators of water penetration through the beaker experiments and production tests.
Packaging & Storage
The liquid products are packed in polyethylene plastic barrel and the solid products are packed in 25kg braided bag lined with plastic bag.
Poly ferric sulfate is corrosive and irritant. It should be sealed and stored in a ventilated and dry place, shielded from rain, heat or sun. Under normal conditions, the liquid product has a shelf life of 6 months, and the solid product a shelf life of 12 months.
